Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data teams to gather and define business intelligence requirements.
• Design, develop, and deploy interactive Cognos reports, dashboards, and scorecards to meet business needs.
• Work closely with ETL developers, DBAs, Project Managers, and other BI team members to deliver high-quality BI solutions.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for BI solutions.
• Provide ongoing support for Cognos reports and BI applications, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Assist with user training and documentation to ensure proper utilization of BI tools.
• Respond to ad-hoc data and reporting requests from business users.
• Drive the adoption of self-service BI tools across the organization.
• Promote best practices in data visualization and reporting to ensure effective decision-making.
• Participate in Agile development processes and ensure timely delivery of BI solutions.

Job Qualifications

• Experience with Cognos Analytics, including Report Studio, Framework Manager, Event Studio, and Analysis Studio.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database design and reporting views for custom reporting solutions.
• Proficient in performance tuning of Cognos reports and optimizing BI solutions.
• Experience with Cognos Deployment and Security management.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working with Azure tools like Data Factory and DevOps is a plus.
• Understanding of Data Visualization best practices and ability to apply them to create effective reports and dashboards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with business and IT leadership.
• Ability to manage and prioritize work to meet project deadlines and quality metrics.
• Experience in creating and maintaining dashboards, scorecards, and reports throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Ability to translate business requirements into actionable BI solutions in collaboration with internal customers.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field) preferred.
• Experience in the Airline Industry is a plus.
