Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop COBOL-based solutions.
• Design scalable, efficient solutions aligned with system architecture and project goals.
• Develop COBOL programs and JCLs to meet project requirements.
• Perform unit testing following best practices and conduct thorough revisions to ensure code quality.
• Design and execute integration and end-to-end tests to validate system behavior.
• Analyze and document test results, identify issues, and work with the team to resolve them.
• Prepare complete technical documentation to support change management and deployment.
• Participate in post-deployment reviews and provide production support as needed.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure accurate delivery of project information.
• Continuously iterate on deliverables based on project needs and feedback.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL programming.
• Experience working with:
  • Operating Systems: Linux, UNIX
  • Languages: COBOL, JCL
  • Scripting: Shell Script, PowerShell
  • Databases: Oracle
  • Tools/Platforms: Micro Focus COBOL, Eclipse IDE
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
