We are looking for a skilled COBOL Consultant for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL programming and mainframe tools, along with experience working in Agile environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
• Work with JCL and VSAM/DB2 for batch and online processing.
• Utilize TSO/ISPF, Endevor for version control, and File Manager for file handling.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting.
• Collaborate with business analysts and QA teams in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL development.
• Proficiency in JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Experience with TSO/ISPF and Endevor.
• Working knowledge of SQL and File Manager.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
