Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews of cloud-native services, documenting use cases, security controls, and necessary security policies.
• Perform service certification processes for GCP and AWS cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices and policies are adhered to across cloud platforms.
• Provide expertise in cloud security and assess the implementation of security controls in GCP environments.
• Analyze security risks, identify potential vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Engage in constructive dialogue to challenge traditional security approaches and promote security innovation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud security trends, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of experience in cloud security engineering with a focus on GCP.
• Cloud Security certifications in GCP (preferred) and AWS; Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CIAM or equivalent are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to evaluate risk scenarios.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills

• Cloud Security Engineering expertise, specifically in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• In-depth understanding of cloud security controls and policy review.
• Cloud security certifications (GCP, AWS).
• Strong understanding of cloud-native services, security controls, and security policies.
