Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud environments.
• Lead security reviews, risk assessments, and incident response activities.
• Work with next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, micro-segmentation, and threat management tools.
• Secure remote access technologies (VPN, Citrix, IPSec, etc.) and endpoint security.
• Implement vulnerability scanning, patch management, and security hardening.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, HITRUST, and MITRE.
• Oversee identity management, authentication systems, and encryption (PKI, SSL/TLS).
• Manage SIEM, log/event management, and security monitoring.
• Collaborate with teams to secure virtualized environments and ensure safe cloud-based infrastructure.
• Provide expertise on securing email, web filtering, and network device data/control planes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in IT with a focus on network security.
• Expertise in cloud security, endpoint security, and network protocols.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or similar strongly preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare or HIPAA-compliant environment is a plus.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and handle after-hours work as needed.

Desired Skills

• Experience with Citrix, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanning, and patch management.
• Knowledge of security technologies including encryption, PKI, SSL/TLS, RADIUS, TACACS.
• Familiarity with enterprise networking, IPAM, and hardening network devices.
