Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Oversee IT production operations, including infrastructure (servers, network, storage, security) and applications (distributed systems, middleware, caching).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-based applications and services.
• Utilize cloud technologies and platforms (IaaS, PaaS) to enhance infrastructure and application efficiency.
• Implement and support infrastructure and application monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Work with tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, and Maven for managing and automating workflows.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience with 5-7 years of relevant experience in a large Fortune 100 company, managing IT production operations at scale.
• Proven expertise in managing infrastructure and applications, including servers, network, storage, security, and distributed systems.
• In-depth understanding of Linux functionalities and features, with strong Linux system engineering experience.
• Solid knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, headers, authentication, SSL, routers, load balancing).
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, and Maven.
• Medium-level expertise in at least one of the following: Python, shell scripting, REST API, or Java/J2EE.
• Strong hands-on experience with deployment and troubleshooting in a cloud environment.
