We are seeking a Cloud FinOps Analyst to drive cloud cost optimization, financial governance, and operational excellence across multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS and Azure, cloud cost management, resource tagging, and FinOps tools, with the ability to collaborate closely with engineering and finance teams to improve cloud financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cloud environments and respond to cost anomalies and operational issues in real time.
- Develop, implement, and enforce cloud resource tagging and naming standards for accurate cost allocation.
- Analyze cloud usage across AWS, Azure, and GCP to identify optimization opportunities and eliminate waste.
- Investigate unexpected cloud spending and work with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage showback/chargeback reporting and provide actionable cloud cost insights to business and finance stakeholders.
- Support cloud governance initiatives and ensure compliance with financial and operational standards.
- Provide recommendations for resource rightsizing, Savings Plans, Reserved Instances (RIs), and other cloud cost optimization strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Cloud FinOps, cloud operations, or cloud cost management.
- Strong understanding of AWS and Azure cloud services, including compute, storage, databases, and networking.
- Hands-on experience with Apptio and CloudAbility.
- Expertise in cloud resource tagging, cost allocation, and governance.
- Knowledge of cloud pricing models, including Savings Plans, Reserved Instances (RIs), and Spot Instances.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with engineering, DevOps, and finance teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GCP cloud environments.
- FinOps Certified Practitioner certification.
- AWS or Azure cloud certifications.
- Experience with enterprise cloud governance and financial reporting.
