Job-Specific Responsibilities
•  Participate as a senior contributor in the implementation of next-generation technology security stacks in Azure and AWS
•  Provide design and operational practices for Azure and AWS
•  Develop automation and supporting infrastructure to enable significantly increased agility and consumption of cloud resources. Including creating and maintaining     build scripts, templates and other artifacts for the security stack
•  Ensure alignment between security architecture frameworks and overall University IT cloud strategy
•  Provide training on various security and cloud technologies to the team and mentor less senior engineers on cloud and security topics
•  Participate in the assurance of server-side security, e.g., endpoint detection & response EDR, vulnerability management, application whitelisting, etc.
•  Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting the most complex and challenging security-related challenges
Basic Qualifications
•  Minimum of seven years post-secondary education and/or relevant work experience
•  Deep technical knowledge of network or systems security infrastructure, such as network or host-based firewalls, IDS, IPS, proxy servers, tap, and/or SIEM solutions
•  Experience with Cloud Security and networking (Azure, AWS) is essential
•  Broad knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies, technology trends and their applicability
•  Knowledge of Fortinet Security Suite, NetFlow, WireShark, Bro, WAF, CarbonBlack, RASP, Sandbox and Splunk a plus
•  Experience designing and implementing networks and systems for high availability, security, manageability, and reliability
Certificates and Licenses
•  Cloud Service Provider related certifications desired:
o  Azure Security Technologies, Azure Architect Technologies, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Architect a plus
•  CISSP, CPP, CCSP, OSCP, CEH a plus
