We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to oversee and optimize change and release management processes for software applications. The role involves coordinating deployments, automating DevOps workflows, and providing technical guidance across multiple environments to ensure minimal service disruptions and reliable releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage change schedules and release calendars for applications on platforms such as Java, Node.js, MuleSoft, Azure, etc.
- Lead Change Control Board meetings, ensuring approvals, technical alignment, and deployment readiness.
- Analyze release scope, feature dependencies, and change restriction periods to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and maintain release dashboards and metrics using tools such as PowerBI, ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Automate DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines to improve release efficiency and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance and SME support on release scheduling, freeze periods, and performance metrics.
- Act as a liaison with release and product managers to ensure accurate release planning and communication.
- Promote best practices in change management and deployment strategies across teams.
- Ensure timely follow-up on incident tickets and SLA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in change or release management, with a proven track record of managing full software release lifecycles.
- Experience in high-tech, software, or telecom industries preferred.
- Solid technical background in software development, web technologies, metrics dashboards, and customer communication channels (email, SMS, push notifications).
- Experience in scaled Agile environments.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert release data into actionable insights.
- Technical proficiency in Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, Excel, and full-stack application design.
- PMO certification and/or project management experience preferred.
