As a Calypso Principal Software Engineer, you will work closely with engineering and architecture teams to design and deliver high-quality technology solutions. Roles and Responsibilities

- Design, develop, enhance, and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions.
- Build modern, maintainable, and resilient applications and services to support strategic business initiatives.
- Incorporate quality attributes such as scalability, reliability, maintainability, and security into distributed systems.
- Apply secure software development practices to identify, mitigate, and prevent vulnerabilities throughout the SDLC.
- Serve as a technical leader by mentoring engineers, fostering innovation, and promoting engineering best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience supporting Calypso platforms and infrastructure.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams.
- Strong experience with system configuration, implementation, and testing for OTC derivatives across the full trading lifecycle, including front, middle, and back office.
- Deep expertise configuring and extending Calypso modules for Interest Rates, Commodities, FX, FX Options, and Equity Derivatives.
- Thorough understanding of collateral management, General Ledger accounting, ISDA SIMM, and SWIFT processing.
- Experience integrating Calypso with financial market utilities such as DTCC SDR, FedWire, Bloomberg, AcadiaSoft, TriResolve, and market data, market risk, and credit risk platforms.
- Hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, MQ, ETL processes, and API development.
- Experience working with UNIX, Linux, Oracle SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, HTML, Angular, and Unix shell scripting.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and DevSecOps CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, Terraform, or equivalent technologies.
- AWS certifications (such as AWS Solutions Architect) are preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry supporting consumer banking, portfolio management, trading, compliance, or wealth management solutions.
- Experience with Apache, Lucene, Memcached, RabbitMQ, and NoSQL databases.
