Job Description

We are seeking a Calibration Engineer with strong expertise in CAN J1939 communication and ECM diagnostics to support calibration, validation, and integration of engine control systems. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication between ECMs, OEM controllers, and related systems.

Must-Have Technical / Functional Skills
  • Strong expertise in CAN J1939 communication protocol, including message interpretation.
  • Solid understanding of control system fundamentals and ECU diagnostic strategies.
  • Hands-on experience in embedded controls and CAN J1939 testing and validation.
  • Knowledge of engine control algorithms and parameter calibration.
  • Experience with CAN, OBD, and UDS protocols.
  • Hands-on experience using OEM calibration tools.
  • Proficiency in C programming.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with system integration and software teams.
  • AUTOSAR application development experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, documentation, presentation, and teamwork skills.

 

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Own ECM CAN J1939 diagnostics, including testing activities and phase reviews.
  • Tune, calibrate, validate, and test ECM CAN J1939 messages for On-Highway engine programs.
  • Ensure seamless integration with OEM ECU controllers, aftertreatment sensors, and telematics systems.
  • Investigate and resolve CAN J1939 communication issues from customers, OEMs, test vehicles, or test cells.
  • Perform root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and document findings clearly.
