We are seeking an experienced CAD Design Engineer to work onsite at the client location in Mabank, TX. The candidate will serve as a key coordinator between the client and offshore engineering teams, ensuring effective communication, technical alignment, and timely delivery of engineering outputs.
The role will focus on the design and development of Gas Turbine Enclosures, managing engineering requirements, supporting Windchill change management activities, and performing quality reviews of offshore engineering deliverables.
* Design and develop Gas Turbine Enclosures using CAD tools, primarily Creo.
* Collaborate onsite with client engineering teams to gather, clarify, and manage design requirements.
* Act as the primary interface between onsite stakeholders and offshore engineering teams.
* Review and validate offshore engineering deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
* Support Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) activities, including engineering change management and documentation updates.
* Coordinate design reviews, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
* Maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and design records according to client standards.
* Identify design improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* 3–5 years of experience in CAD design engineering or mechanical design roles.
* Strong hands-on experience with Creo for 3D modeling and engineering drawings.
* Knowledge and experience with Gas Turbine Enclosure design or related industrial equipment design.
* Experience working with Windchill or similar PLM/change management systems.
* Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with onsite and offshore teams.
* Ability to manage multiple engineering activities and meet project timelines.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
