We are looking for an experienced Cache Developer with 8+ years of expertise in Intersystems technologies, particularly Intersystems Cache and MUMPS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development within the healthcare domain, specifically in enhancing and maintaining Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). You will be responsible for analyzing, modifying, and upgrading programming systems to meet our operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and modify existing programming systems, focusing on encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Design and implement solutions using Intersystems Cache, Object Script, and Cache Server Pages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide expert consultation on system upgrades, particularly transitioning from Intersystems Cache to IRIS.
• Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts to streamline operations and enhance system performance.
• Utilize SQL for data querying and manipulation to support application functionality.
• Work with front-end technologies such as JavaScript and CSS to improve user interfaces.
• Implement XML/XSLT for effective data transformation and integration.
• Ensure compliance with HL7 standards for healthcare data exchange.
• Offer production support and assist in troubleshooting issues across various software applications.
• Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, specifically with Intersystems technologies (Cache, MUMPS).
• Experience in production support roles
• Understanding of the healthcare domain and relevant standards.
• Strong problem-solving and design skills, with the ability to independently tackle complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is a plus.
• Familiarity with upgrading systems from Intersystems Cache to IRIS is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of software development concepts, practices, and procedures.
