Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

We are seeking an experienced BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and data solutions that transform complex datasets into actionable business insights. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Tableau, SQL, AWS data services, and a proven track record in leading BI projects and mentoring others.

Primary Responsibilities

• Gather requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops, defining Personas, Use Cases, Metrics, KPIs, and Data Sources.

• Conduct data profiling, assess data quality, completeness, and lineage for source systems.

• Design and implement transformation logic (ETL/ELT) to support accurate and reliable dashboard metrics.

• Develop interactive Tableau dashboards with role-based views, filters, and dynamic visualizations.

• Implement visualizations for agreed-upon KPIs and metrics that provide actionable business insights.

• Optimize dashboard performance, including load times and query efficiency.

• Maintain documentation including requirements, design specifications, ETL specs, and user guides.

• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and train end-users on dashboards and analytics tools.

• Troubleshoot issues in analytics pipelines and ensure data accuracy and accountability.

• Consistently adopt and promote BI best practices across the team and projects.

• Lead BI initiatives and mentor junior developers, providing guidance on technical and analytical best practices.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Minimum 6 years of Tableau dashboard development.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in complex data environments, advanced SQL, and data modeling.

• Expertise in AWS data services (Redshift, RDS, Athena, Glue) and relational databases.

• Strong experience in ETL/ELT processes, data profiling, and data quality assessment.

• Proven ability to transform complex data into actionable business insights.

• Experience leading BI projects and mentoring team members.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
