Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Develop and write detailed user stories and, where necessary, Verification Requirements Documents (VRDs) to support project needs.
  • Utilize your expertise in EMR systems, particularly EPIC, to analyze and enhance workflows and processes within the healthcare organization.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to understand their needs and challenges related to EMR usage.
  • Analyze and improve revenue cycle management processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing billing, collections, and related functions.
  • Support the adoption of Agile methodologies within the team, facilitating sprint planning and retrospectives as needed.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure the successful implementation of features and enhancements.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical staff, IT, and management to ensure alignment on project objectives and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Participate in testing activities to validate that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Assist in the development of test plans and test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of functionality.

 

Qualifications
  • Must have hands-on experience with EMR systems; experience with EPIC is preferred.
  • Background in revenue cycle management within a hospital or healthcare organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Understanding of healthcare workflows and processes, particularly in a hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
