Job Description
Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end business and functional analysis within the Transaction Monitoring / Anti-Financial Crime domain.
- Gather, validate, and document business requirements, transforming them into clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze existing TM scenarios, workflows, data models, and system behaviors to drive improvements and new solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams (POs, engineers, QA, data teams) to ensure requirements are well understood and implemented.
- Perform data analysis using SQL to support root-cause investigations, scenario tuning, validation, and impact assessments.
- Work with Compliance, Operations, and Product teams to ensure TM controls meet regulatory expectations.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and solution reviews to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Support UAT by defining test conditions, reviewing test results, and validating business outcomes.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on AML, KYC, sanctions, and suspicious activity detection processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 8+ years of overall experience in Business Analysis and Data Analysis.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Transaction Monitoring / Anti-Financial Crime initiatives.
- Strong ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into user stories, functional designs, and solution recommendations.
- Solid experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proficiency with SQL (ability to write simple to moderate queries for data validation and analysis).
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with TM platforms (e.g., Actimize, Mantas, FCRM, Quantexa).
- Knowledge of data modeling, reporting, or analytics tools.
- Understanding of financial products, payments, and customer lifecycle processes.
- Exposure to cloud-based data environments.
- Certifications in AML/Compliance (e.g., CAMS) are a plus.
