Technical / Functional Skills

• Minimum of 8 years of storage experience (EMC Symmetrix, EMC VNX, EMC Data Domain, Netapp FAS, both Cisco and Brocade SAN switches)
• Solid understanding of EMC storage technologies (hardware and software utilities)
• Solid understanding for Backup and Recovery technologies and processes. 
• Strong understanding of SAN/NAS Storage performance diagnosis and trending
• Azure Storage Accounts offerings: file shares, containers, private endpoints, etc.
• Results oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action. 
• Genuine desire to provide superior customer service. 
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to lead and influence technical professionals across the enterprise. 
• Comfortable with ambiguity as needs change on a regular basis with a high degree of initiative and a sense of urgency 
• Excellent oral and written skills with the ability to interact with senior management, technical subject matter experts, and business customers are essential in this role. 
• Ability to work on multiple, simultaneous initiatives to which he/she will apply their applicable business, technical, and system functionality background.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Required Storage: SAN, NAS, SAN Fabric experience.
• SAN – EMC Symmetrix/Powermax
• NAS – Netapp FAS, EMC VNX family
• SAN Fabric – Brocade DCX
• Required EMC storage hardware/software experience – Basic allocation (SYMCLI / Unisphere), Server Masking, SAN Zoning, Storage
• Reclaim and Decommission, Performance analysis, tuning and monitoring, Virtual Wisdom, RecoverPoint, SAN Copy, SRDF and SRDF/a concepts.
• Advanced skills in related Data Recovery Products such as but not limited to Dell Power Protect, Dell Cyber Recovery, Azure VM Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.
• Knowledge of Server technologies: UNIX (AIX, Solaris), Linux (Red Hat), Windows, and VMWare is a plus.
• Required knowledge in Azure Storage Accounts offerings: file shares, containers, private endpoints, etc.
• Azure certifications is a plus (az-900, az-104, etc.)
• UNIX shell scripting experience is a plus
• Base knowledge of networking (TCP/IP)
