Role and Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize AWS services, including KMS, Glue catalog, Athena, IAM, S3, and logging services for EMR, EC2, and RDS.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
• Perform system administration tasks, including configurations, installations, patch management, and server maintenance.
• Manage network components such as firewalls, proxies, IP management, routing, and DNS to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
• Utilize GitLab and Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Apply solid knowledge of application development methodologies and infrastructure technologies to support and enhance applications.
• Implement and manage ETL processes using Informatica or similar tools to support data integration and transformation.
• Identify, debug, and resolve issues related to applications and infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption and efficient problem resolution.
• Provision, upgrade, and tune database services to optimize performance and ensure reliable data management.

Required Experience/Skills

• Demonstrated experience with AWS services, including, but not limited to KSM, Glue catalog, Athena, IAM, S3, Logging (EMR, EC2 and RDS) Solid knowledge and understanding of multiple IT subject areas.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of infrastructure technologies and application development methodologies. 
• Solid knowledge and understanding of System Administration (configurations, installations, patch management, server maintenance, etc.) and Network Management (firewalls, proxies, IP management, routing, DNS).
• Knowledge and understanding of GitLab and Jenkins 
• Solid knowledge and understanding of Bootstrap 
• Demonstrated experience with Linux 
• Knowledge and understanding of ETL and Informatica
• Solid knowledge and experience debugging, identifying root cause and solving of applications 
• Solid knowledge and experience provisioning, upgrading, and tuning database services
