Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust automation frameworks for web, desktop, API, and mobile applications.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts using Java and Selenium.
• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure quality throughout the Agile software development lifecycle.
• Perform manual testing when necessary, ensuring high coverage and comprehensive validation.
• Own and manage the end-to-end test lifecycle within an Agile environment.
• Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines as part of the DevOps process.
• Utilize tools like JIRA for defect management, tracking, and reporting.
• Support and mentor offshore testing teams, ensuring best practices and consistent delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing custom automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in Java, with strong coding skills related to automation.
• Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Hands-on experience in API Automation (e.g., using RestAssured or similar tools).
• Experience with Mobile Automation (Appium or equivalent tools).
• Strong manual testing background for comprehensive test planning and execution.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and practices.
• Experience using JIRA or other test/defect management tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an onshore/offshore model.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Knowledge of BDD tools like Cucumber is a plus.
• ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
