We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in automating processes to evaluate, test, and assess security controls within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, cybersecurity practices, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for automating processes to evaluate, test and assess security controls, including implementation, operation and maintenance of a framework to continuously monitor and test technical controls.
- Supports security risk management activities and contributes to executive management reporting.
- Defines and documents standards for security controls management.
- Participate in the full life cycle of a project to design and execute automated test scripts. Investigate and debug test failures, updating tests or reporting bugs as necessary.
- Ensures proper version control and configuration management of test objects developed and test environments used.
- Perform Data Integration by combining data residing in different sources and provide stakeholders with a unified view.
- Analyzes controls automation technologies and determines strengths and weaknesses of each and recommends the best cost-justified solution.
- Develops and produces monthly metrics for key performance indicators and key risk indicators.
- Makes recommendations for continuous improvement of the company's cybersecurity program.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of testing experience with at least 2 years in automation testing. Experience in cybersecurity is beneficial.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash).
- Understanding of security controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to debug complex systems and recommend improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience in project management methodologies and tools.
- Ability to stay updated with industry trends and adapt to evolving security landscapes.
