Design, develop, and deploy Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for avionics, defense, and automotive applications.
Develop and implement HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) test systems.
Design and integrate Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ), control systems, hydraulic/electrical test rigs for flight actuation, primary flight controls, fuel systems, engine systems, braking systems, and automotive EOL/ECU test fixtures.
Configure, program, and test using NI LabVIEW, LabVIEW RT, FPGA, VeriStand, and associated NI Toolkits.
Support test system validation, debugging, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for test systems, configurations, and processes.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Must-Have Technical/Functional Skills
Proficiency in NI LabVIEW, LabVIEW RT, FPGA, VeriStand, and related NI Toolkits.
Familiarity with TestStand or basics of TestStand scripting.
Experience in ATE design, DAQ systems, control systems, and test rig integration for avionics, defense, or automotive industries.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic and electrical test systems, EOL testers, ECU testers, and valve test fixtures.
Managerial & Collaboration Skills
Experience in systems architecture, integration, and project planning for test systems.
Strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, and resource management for technical projects.
Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and vendors to ensure technical and schedule adherence.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to work across all organizational levels.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
Proven experience in ATE system design and deployment for avionics, defense, or automotive industries.
Experience in project management and leading multi-disciplinary teams preferred.
