We are seeking an experienced API Designer & Analyst with a strong background in designing and developing REST APIs and Kafka-based data streaming services. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and analytical capabilities to model business processes, craft robust integration solutions, and ensure seamless communication between systems and applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document RESTful APIs and Kafka-based data streaming services.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and API contracts.
• Create and maintain UML diagrams or BPMN workflows to visualize processes and service interactions.
• Work with XML, JSON, WSDL, XSD, and SOAP-based web services to support legacy integrations.
• Utilize Postman or similar tools for testing and validating API endpoints.
• Design and query relational (Oracle, SQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, business analysts, and product owners.
• Prepare high-quality technical documentation and present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
• Participate in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies as needed.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with REST API design and development.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar data streaming platforms.
• Proficiency in UML or BPMN for system and workflow modeling.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB databases.
• Familiarity with SOAP, XML, JSON, XSD, WSDL, and related web service technologies.
• Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman.
• Excellent technical writing, oral, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
