We are seeking an experienced Android Automated Test Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, white-box testing, and hardware/software integration. The ideal candidate will have experience validating consumer electronics, mobile devices, or robotics products and be proficient in developing comprehensive test strategies for Android-based systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and execute automated and manual test plans for Android applications and devices
- Develop smoke, regression, integration, and system-level test strategies for code changes
- Perform white-box testing and validate software functionality across hardware platforms
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects
- Validate end-to-end hardware/software integration for Android-based products
- Support product quality initiatives for consumer electronics, mobile devices, or robotics systems
- Analyze test results, logs, and system behavior to improve product reliability and performance
- Work within Linux environments for debugging, testing, and automation activities
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Android test automation and validation
- Experience creating test plans including smoke, regression, and integration testing
- Hands-on experience with white-box testing methodologies
- Experience validating consumer electronics, mobile devices, or robotics products
- Strong hardware/software integration testing experience
- Good knowledge of Linux systems and command-line tools
- Strong debugging and analytical skills
- Experience working in Agile development environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Android testing frameworks and automation tools
- Knowledge of embedded systems or device-level testing
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
- Scripting experience in Python or Shell scripting is a plus
