Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

• 8-15 years of software development experience with core Android development for mobile or automotive.
• At least 4 year experience developing applicaitons and/or Framework components and/or Android systems and/Automotive in Android.
• A passion for innovation, learning new technologies and concepts.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred field of study in Information Technology or Engineering 
• Android Architect with 8+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Android applications in the Cruiseline business.
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Advanced Java and Kotlin skills.
• Sound knowledge of code architectures.
• Ability to own the technical road-map for systems/components owned by him/her.
• Ability to design pixel sharp design and custom widgets as per requirements.
• Worked on libraries such as Fresco, Retrofit, Moshi.
• Is comfortable building beautiful cross-platform experiences.
• Is excited by the potential of technology to transform the lives of small businesses around the country.
• Keen to write scalable, optimized and bug-free code.
• Proven experience of test-driven development
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Git/TFS
• Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Ability to communicate directly with Business Teams
• Strong Demonstration of Leadership ability

• Provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
• Interface with clients and gather business requirements and objectives. Translate clients’ business requirements and objectives into technical applications and solutions.
• Handle multiple projects on different payment devices & platform at same time.
• Aggressively handle any issues reported from Production environment, study the case reported; find out root cause and align with dev team to apply necessary fix.
• To have good communication skills and manage the projects alone for some circumstances.
• Should be capable of carrying out required training sessions for the new joiners & other development team members
