We are seeking an experienced Alteryx Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data integration, transformation, and analytics workflows using Alteryx. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ETL processes, data modeling, automation, and data quality management, with the ability to deliver scalable data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Alteryx workflows for data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading (ETL).
- Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Optimize workflow performance and ensure efficient processing of large datasets.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and BI teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Develop reusable workflows, macros, and automation processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Support reporting and analytics initiatives by preparing curated datasets for visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Troubleshoot workflow failures, data discrepancies, and performance issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, data lineage, and workflow governance standards.
- Ensure adherence to data security, compliance, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Analytics Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data integration best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Alteryx Designer Core or Advanced Certification.
- Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
