We are seeking an experienced AliCloud Data Platform Architect to design, build, and scale modern data platforms on Alibaba Cloud. This role will drive the architecture of robust, high-performance data systems that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement scalable data platforms primarily on Alibaba Cloud (Alicloud)
- Build and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines to support analytics and business intelligence
- Develop and optimize data models, data lakes, and data warehouses
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of distributed data systems
- Collaborate with Data Science, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
- Establish best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within Alicloud
- Design and implement real-time streaming solutions using technologies such as Kafka and Flink
- Lead cloud infrastructure design including networking, storage, and security on Alicloud
- Drive DevOps practices including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership in data architecture
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience with Alibaba Cloud data services and ecosystem
- Strong expertise in SQL and big data technologies
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Scala, or Java
- Hands-on experience with distributed data processing frameworks
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and modern data architecture
- Experience working in Linux environments (RHEL preferred)
- Expertise in real-time data streaming frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Flink)
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and best practices on Alicloud
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
- Certification in Alibaba Cloud technologies is a plus
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments
