Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data governance solutions using the Alation platform
• Define & implement a comprehensive data catalog using Alation and ensure that data assets are accurately described, and categorized.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Integrate Alation with other enterprise systems, Data Governance tools / Solutions
• Design & develop custom workflows and integrations with other systems to automate data governance processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Alation issues.
• Strong understanding of data management concepts, metadata (technical and business), and data governance.

Required Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience developing data governance solutions with Alation and other platforms.
• Strong understanding of data governance concepts, principles, and best practices.
• Experience with data modeling, data profiling, and data quality management.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and Java.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and web services.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
