• Configure and manage Akamai services, including Content Delivery Network (CDN), Web Application Firewall (WAF), and DNS. 
• Optimize Akamai settings for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness. 
• Implement caching strategies and rules to improve website performance and reduce server load. 
• Monitor Akamai services for performance and availability using the Akamai Control Center and other monitoring tools. 
• Analyze logs and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. 
• Configure and manage Akamai's security features, including WAF, bot management, and DDoS protection. 
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for web security and data protection. 

 

Qualifications

• Must have an ecommerce Development background and understanding of microservices.
• In-depth knowledge of Akamai CDN, web performance optimization, and security solutions.
• Experience in management of Akamai instances and troubleshooting support.
• Hands-on experience with ITSM tools and processes.
• Akamai certifications will be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS. Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in scripting languages particularly Python is preferred.
