We are looking for a skilled AIX Administrator with strong experience in IBM Power Systems and database administration. The ideal candidate will manage, monitor, and optimize AIX environments while ensuring high availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness.

Primary Responsibilities

• Administer AIX systems (IBM Power P9) with LPARs, including installation, configuration, upgrades, consolidation, and maintenance.

• Monitor system performance, perform tuning, and proactively address potential issues.

• Support Nimble SAN environments, including replication to disaster recovery (DR) sites and DR testing.

• Work closely with IBM support for applying hotfixes, resolving performance issues, and guidance on system tuning.

• Manage database and application frameworks hosted on IBM P6 and P9 servers.

• Troubleshoot platform-level issues to ensure system stability and uptime.

• Perform regular system maintenance, patching, and upgrades in accordance with best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience as an AIX Administrator on IBM Power Systems (P9 preferred).

• Experience with LPAR configuration and management.

• Knowledge of Nimble SAN storage and replication for DR readiness.

• Hands-on experience with AIX performance tuning and monitoring tools.

• Familiarity with database system administration, frameworks, and reporting systems.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex platform and system-level issues.

• Experience working with IBM support for hotfixes, patches, and tuning guidance.
