AI/ML Architect – BFSI

We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Architect with deep expertise in cloud-native AI/ML, MLOps, and GenAI/LLM architectures to design, deploy, and govern production-grade ML solutions for BFSI clients. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end AI/ML initiatives, from use-case discovery and architecture to deployment, monitoring, and compliance, while mentoring cross-functional teams.

Must-Have Technical / Functional Skills

• Strong experience in AI/ML architecture and solution design for customer-facing programs.
• Hands-on expertise with Python and ML/DL frameworks: scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace.
• Cloud-native AI/ML architecture experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP with production deployments.
• Deep MLOps expertise: model lifecycle management, governance, monitoring, reproducibility, and CI/CD.
• GenAI/LLM architecture experience: RAG patterns, prompt orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Graph/network analytics: Neo4j, TigerGraph, NetworkX, GraphX.
• Big data/ML pipelines using Spark, PySpark, Scala at enterprise scale.
• BFSI domain knowledge with experience in regulated/compliance-heavy environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions.
• Drive full lifecycle ML projects: solution design, development, production deployment, and monitoring.
• Define standards, best practices, and governance for AI/ML solutioning, model management, and MLOps.
• Integrate ML models into production systems, ensuring scalability, resiliency, observability, security, and compliance.
• Architect and implement GenAI solutions leveraging LLMs for enterprise use cases with RAG patterns and safety controls.
• Guide data strategy, feature store design, and alignment between data engineering and ML engineering teams.
• Provide architectural direction for big data processing, feature engineering, and training workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify high-value use cases and translate them into robust technical architecture.
• Mentor ML engineers, data scientists, and platform teams; establish design reviews, architectural guardrails, and engineering standards.
• Evaluate and recommend ML tools, frameworks, and cloud-native services aligned with performance, security, and cost objectives.

Experience & Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in AI/ML architecture and solution delivery, preferably in BFSI.
• Proven track record of end-to-end design, deployment, and governance of production-grade AI/ML systems.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with cross-functional teams.
• Experience presenting complex architecture and trade-offs to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Open-source contributions or published research preferred.
