Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Engineer, build, and administer computer and network infrastructure, including servers, virtual machines, storage systems, and network security configurations.
  • Support cloud computing strategy development and assist in infrastructure design, documentation, and technical planning.
  • Maintain and administer Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, and Windows servers.
  • Manage NAS systems, including updates, troubleshooting, and archival backups.
  • Provide support for servers, NAS, lab networks, and workstations.
  • Ensure secure access control and maintain firewall and security settings.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure diagrams, technical documentation, and system reports.
 
Required Skills
  • Expert-level management of Cisco (Catalyst), HP Aruba, and Mellanox/Nvidia (Cumulus/NVue) network hardware and configurations.
  • Expert-level management of Lenovo Unified Storage (Natapp FAS) and Lenovo ThinkSystems storage solutions.
  • Strong architecture, design, and engineering capabilities for network hardware, software, and storage systems.
  • Skilled in reviewing and producing detailed technical and analytical documentation.
  • Strong Active Directory administration skills (DNS, DHCP, domain services).
  • Familiarity with TrueNAS and NAS administration.
  • Ability to support servers, storage, lab networks, and client systems.
 
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with system testing tools to diagnose performance, data integrity, and functional issues.
  • Ability to plan and manage technical projects related to networks, information security, and infrastructure.
  • Manage domain user setup and design system modifications to meet user needs.
  • Maintain and upgrade file servers and domain services.
  • Archive/restore files from tape libraries; configure forensic workstations and hardware.
  • Track and manage software licenses, updates, and antivirus solutions.
  • Collaborate with forensic examiners on hardware/software issues and remediation.
  • Design and implement complex network architecture and maintain accurate network mapping.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to testify to data integrity when required.
