Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Execute and support enterprise Active Directory consolidation and migration activities across multiple domains and forests
  • Perform migration of users, groups, computers, and service accounts using Quest Migration Manager for Active Directory (MPAD)
  • Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during migration activities through careful planning, testing, and execution
  • Administer and support hybrid identity environments, including on-premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Manage and maintain directory services, including DNS, Group Policy, OU design, and replication health
  • Support workstation and server migration activities as part of broader consolidation efforts
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell preferred) to streamline migration and operational tasks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve directory synchronization, authentication, and access-related issues
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and identity consistency
  • Maintain documentation for migration processes, configurations, and operational procedures
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience administering Active Directory in enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience with AD migration tools, preferably Quest Migration Manager (MPAD)
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory architecture (domains, forests, trusts, replication, FSMO roles)
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity configurations
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Experience with Group Policy management and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server infrastructure
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with large-scale AD consolidation or merger/acquisition projects
  • Familiarity with Azure AD Connect / Entra Connect synchronization
  • Knowledge of identity governance, security best practices, and access controls
  • Experience migrating workstations and servers in enterprise environments
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Identity and Access Administrator, Windows Server, or Azure certifications)
